I believe the reason you stare into a wood fire is because when wood burns it’s spirit is released, all that energy captivates you. I feel that in these photo’s I have captured the spirit of the wood. I used aperture F8, shutter speed 1/3000 sec,ISO 12500.

PB1; These next group of photos are of Paul Bennett , one off Australia’s great Aerobatic pilot’s, flying his incredible Wolf Pitt’s Special Biplane.
This a truly amazing series of photo’s, the times are actual, from my camera, a 10 second tail slide an amazing feat.
Another great Australian aerobatic pilot, Cameron Rolf Smith flying the incredible Yak 52
This is an incredible sequence, 4 seconds on his back free falling.
F18;I was lucky enough, through my aviation museum work, to be invited to witness FA18 Super Hornets during a live fire training exercise at Evans Head Weapons Range, under the supervision of RAAF personnel, these 9 pictures tell the story.
F18/1 Live fire from 20mm mini gun, 100 rounds per second, the noise was incredible.
This next group of photo’s is of one of the truly great military aircraft, the General Dynamics F111. I captured these photos at “Warbirds Over Wanika” in 2006. Capable of speeds of beyond mach 2.5 and a range of 3000 nautical miles she was one lethal aircraft, serving our nation for 37 years.
F111; Dump and burn. The F111 is the only aircraft capable of this, it’s due to the fact that the fuel dump valve is at the tail end between the after burning engine exhaust. Dump fuel and hit the afterburner wala!
F1113; The next few photos show her from ‘serene to mean’
